To set up four watering zones for a Dubai villa, group areas by plant need, soil, sun exposure and delivery method, then test every line separately. Do not divide the garden into four equal areas or copy one runtime across all outlets. A zone should exist because it needs a distinct check or schedule.

Commission one zone at a time

  1. Check the tap thread, washer, adapter and support for the hose weight.
  2. Open the tap and inspect the timer inlet before attaching long lines.
  3. Connect the first zone and run it manually while watching the final emitter.
  4. Check for kinks, loose joints, mist, runoff and dry sections.
  5. Inspect soil at a representative root depth after water has had time to move through it.
  6. Record the run and observation, then repeat for the next zone.
  7. Program sequential starts only after all lines pass individually.

Do not infer adequate pressure from strong flow at the bare tap. Fittings, hose length, elevation and emitter choice change delivery. A timer controls when a valve opens; it cannot repair a poorly designed line. Do not assume all four outlets can run simultaneously.

Set a baseline without guessing

Choose a cautious first schedule within local rules and DEWA's recommended time window, then observe the result. If the root area remains too dry, first rule out a blocked emitter or poor distribution. If water pools or reaches paving, shorten the run or correct the delivery. Change only one variable at a time so the result is understandable.

Who this setup is for

What should I name each zone?

Use a location and purpose, such as front hedge or shaded pots, rather than outlet 1. Clear names reduce mistakes during later adjustments.
